Check-In & Check-Out Times

heck-in time is between 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm on the day of your arrival.
Check-out time is 12:00 pm on the day of your departure.
Please let us know if you will be arriving past the check-in time.

**Check-in before 3:00 pm and after 8:30 pm will incur a $50 early/late check-in fee. Avoid arriving after 8:30 pm as we close our gate at this time.


The closest airports are Dallas Ft. Worth International airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL).
Both airports are the same distance from the center, which is approximately 80 miles.

Transportation to/from Airport

Option 1

FBIT Limo, a private transportation company, provides affordable rates compared to getting a taxi or shuttle at the airport. They provide professional and timely services all hours of the day, 7 days a week. If you are looking for safe, fast, reliable, and flexible transportation, this option will be best for you. Option 2

Car rentals are available at both DFW and Dallas Love Field airports. If you will be visiting the center for only a few days or even a week, then renting a car might be the most affordable option, also providing you with the most freedom for flight arrival times.

International Travelers

If you use a credit card for any transactions during your US travel, you may incur foreign transaction and international
fees by your bank or credit card. Instead, you can bring Travelers Cheques or pay in cash with USD.

Local Transportation

Local transportation is available once you’re at the retreat center. If you would like to visit the nearby historical towns of Bonham and Honey Grove, or go to nearby shopping centers (10-40 miles away), you can arrange your transportation directly with TAPS. This service is not to be used as an airport shuttle as this service is not offered.

Transportation can be arranged with TAPS Bus by calling (903) 893-4601 or (800) 256-0911 THREE days before your trip. Transportation times are limited during the week and weekends. Visit their website for more information at http://tapsbus.com.

Items to Bring

We encourage bringing clothing that is comfortable and helps you feel more relaxed. Also, bring your personal towel and hygiene items. Due to the many seasons of Texas, it is important to bring the appropriate clothing by checking the weather ahead of time.

In the winter, it is especially important to bring warm sweaters, a heavy jacket, leggings, hat and gloves. In the spring and summer, it is important to bring light clothing as it can get very hot. If you plan on hiking, bring boots. In the spring, summer and fall, bug repellant is a good idea.
We recommend bringing an umbrella when raining, and a flashlight for walking at night.

For classes, please make sure to bring a notebook and 2-3 pens, so that you can take notes. Also, you may bring a shawl for mantra & meditation classes. Because this is a spiritual center, please do not wear short shorts, short skirts, tank tops, and similar revealing clothing.

Since we are an ashram we do have event restrictions: only vegetarian (egg-free) and vegan meals can be cooked and provided; alcoholic beverages, drugs and smoking are not permitted; any event that supports, promotes and/or includes violence may not be hosted at Siddhayatan.

Events can be up to 7 days long.

Yes, you can attend our retreats that may be held during your event at a discounted rate.

Yes, one of Siddhayatan’s monks and nuns can give a one-hour spiritual talk to your group.

Yes, as long as it is strictly vegetarian or vegan, and egg-free.

We can provide you with a mic, speaker system and projector.

We require an upfront 30% non-refundable deposit of your rental fee to secure your event space and time. In addition to the deposit, we do require separate (refundable) deposits for cleaning and audio/visual equipment. If our facilities are not cleaned to our satisfaction or our audio/video equipment is damaged, the applicable deposit will not be refunded.

The rental fee will depend on your type of event, the facilities you need, when your event is, the duration, if meals need to be provided, and number of guests attending. Please complete the inquiry form to discuss your event.
